Squeaky beds and a packed house can make it a little hard to get it on this holiday season. But don't worry, we've got you covered with some tips to make sure Santa's sack isn't the only thing getting stuffed this year…

#1 Wait until the house is sound asleep 😴 The sexiest time of night is typically the latest.

This one might seem obvious but having to wait it out can make things extra tempting. Turn the wait into a game; little things to tease one another throughout the day can make it that much better when the time finally comes. If you simply can’t handle the wait, limit yourselves to a small list of options.

#2 Test out new positions before arriving!

You're welcome - here's an excuse to try some new positions.

Before traveling home, prepare by finding a few different *silent* positions that work best for you and your partner. A lot of movement and a squeaky bed are the ingredients for an awkward conversations with your family.

Hot Tip: Try laying sideways on the bed so the movement doesn’t shake the headboard into the wall.

#3 Enjoy shower sex 🧖‍♀️

The sound of the water can hide small noises, but make sure it doesn’t create an echo…💀. If shower sex is not for you, warm up in the shower with foreplay and keep the water running as you move to the counter or floor; this way, the water will continue to cover any sound.

#4 Do it on the floor!

Keep it simple. Start with foreplay on the bed, then throw some blankets on the floor and get busy!

"The more foreplay you have, the less time you will need engaging in actual penetration," says Rhonda Milrad, LCSW, Founder & Chief Relationship Advisor of Relationup & ABS Certified Clinical Sexologist.

As long as the floor isn’t creaky, you’re in the clear. If the floor is hardwood, you might want to toss down a few extra pillows for added comfort.

#5 Go back to the basics 🥄

Spooning is underrated, especially for quiet sex. Spooning allows minimal movement, which keeps the volume down. Missionary is another great position to keep you close, making quiet communication easier and fueling the heat with consistent eye contact.

Don’t let worry dampen your mood this holiday season and get the most out of the magic of the season.
